VitaDuo invites the audience to a vivid and imaginative journey through the sound worlds of Paul Hindemith, Sergei Rachmaninoff, and George Gershwin — a program in which tradition is re-imagined and familiar masterpieces acquire new colors.
Hindemith’s music unfolds with architectural clarity and restrained intensity, opening the recital with a sense of inner balance and concentrated energy.
Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Sonata for Cello and Piano, performed here in a special transcription for tenor saxophone, reveals a new vocal dimension: the long, breathing phrases of the tenor bring an almost human warmth to Rachmaninoff’s deeply lyrical language.
The evening concludes with George Gershwin, whose music sparkles with rhythm, wit, and irresistible charm. Performed on three different saxophones, this final part of the program is full of brilliance, color, and playful virtuosity — a truly effervescent and dazzling finale.
